F1c Fantasy Formula One Rules 2008

1. A player must select two drivers and two cars. Each component has a published cost and the player must build his/her team within an overall budget of £36 million. Players cannot choose the same driver twice.

2. Points will be awarded according to how the components of the player\'s team perform in each Grand Prix (see TABLE below for an explanation of points awarded and deducted). Each player scores the sum of points awarded less points deducted.

3. Fantasy Race Results will be calculated, and prizes awarded, beginning with the first Grand Prix of the 2008 season.

4. Entry to the competition is FREE for better prices, register for 5 euro!

5. A player may make changes to their team between Grands Prix. There is no limit to the number of changes allowed. A change is replacing one component with another (eg, replacing a driver such as Mark Webber with Jenson Button). The deadline for team changes ie, MIDNIGHT GMT/BST AT THE END OF Friday preceding the Grand Prix. Team changes must be completed within your overall budget.

6. Your team will score points from the next Grand Prix, and you will be eligible for both race-winner and championship winner prizes.

7. A person can enter at any stage of the season but will NOT SCORE ANY points from all previous races. Your team will be entered for the remaining races.

8. The player must choose a team name with a maximum of 30 characters. If a name is already registered you will be given the opportunity to choose another. Team names containing offensive words will be rejected. The team name cannot be changed.

9. You will need to make team changes yourself online.

10. The deadline for receiving new entries is 12 midnight GMT/BST on the Friday before each Grand Prix, i.e. 12 midnight on Friday 14th March 2008 for the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday 16th March. Sorry, this is non-negotiable.

11. Entries received after the deadline will have the details recorded but the team will not score points until the following Grand Prix. New players will not appear in the Fantasy Championship TABLE until their team has participated in a Grand Prix. New players will be given NO POINTS for rounds prior to their joining.

12. The Fantasy Race Results are final once published.

13. Prize-winners will be contacted and prizes delivered once the results are confirmed. If there is a tie for Fantasy Race Winner, or for the Fantasy Team Manager of the Year a suitable tie-break will be played.

14. The Organizers do not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries, or entries lost due to machine breakages or data loss.

Points awarded if your driver or car finishes in the top eight: 100 (1st), 80 (2nd), 60 (3rd), 50 (4th), 40 (5th), 30 (6th), 20 (7th), 10 (8th)

Achieves a grid position in the top 19: 20 (1st), 18 (2nd), 17 (3rd), 16 (4th), 15 (5th), 14 (6th), 13 (7th), 12 (8th), 11 (9th), 10 (10th), 9 (11th), 8 (12th), 7 (13th), 6 (14th), 5 (15th), 4 (16th), 3 (17th), 2 (18th), 1 (19th)

Has the fastest lap: 10

Improves positions from starting grid to chequered flag: 10 per position

Completes laps: 1 per lap

Scores a hat-trick of pole position, fastest lap and winner: 50

Points deducted for

Car failure: 20

A black flag. Applies to driver, car: 100

Positions lost between starting place and finish, except where the car didn\'t finish the race. Applies to driver, car: 10 per position. If a car is disqualified from a race, no laps or positions are registered for that car or driver.

DRIVERS

15. Drivers points are awarded in full.

CARS

16. The points awarded for each of the player\'s 2 cars will be the average of the points scored by the F1 team\'s 2 cars in the race.

RESULTS

17. Grand Prix results will be available after each Grand Prix. Fantasy team scores will be posted on the site as soon as possible after each race.

18. Only one team can be registered per email address.

19. Results and Penalties will be checked against those from the FIA and Formula1.com . We have no association with either.

20. Prizes will be awarded for winning a race, and for winning the competition at the end of all 18 races. See Prizes Page. No money is involved at any stage of the competition.

21. The organisers themselves can enter the competition, but can not win any prizes.

22. No information other than e-mail addresses and names will be kept, except for the express purpose of distributing prizes. If you sign up explicitly to our newsletters your e-mail address will only be used to notify players of the results of each round and new fantasy sports contest about to start. Any change to these conditions will be notified in advance of any change.

23. These Competition rules may be amended or clarified as necessary during the running of the competition, without prior notification.
