Parr wants suspended teams back in FOTA E-mail
Jun.25 (GMM)  Adam Parr hopes the F1 teams alliance FOTA quickly restores the membership of expelled outfits Williams and Force India.
The two teams were suspended by the body admit its recent feud with the FIA for breaking unity and signing up unconditionally to the 2010 world championship before a peace deal had been reached.

Williams CEO Parr expects FOTA to now re-admit the two defectors.

"I do hope so.  I think that's something we'd all like to see," he said.  "It's essential we, along with Force India and the new teams, are part of the discussions going forward."

FOTA is meeting on Thursday in Bologna and afterwards is expected to brief the media about the details of its cost-cutting alternatives to the budget cap.

Williams, Force India, plus the three new teams Manor, Campos and US F1 had signed up for 2010 on the basis of the cap, but instead the big teams have committed to rewinding their huge budgets to "early 1990s" levels within two years.

The works teams have also agreed to "assist the new entries for 2010 by providing technical assistance", the FIA announced on Wednesday.

Parr said he is eager to know more about the budget cap alternatives.

"I think there's a lot of detail to fill out in terms of how that's going to be achieved and what the actual target is," he added.

Other questions also remain unanswered, including the disagreement about whether the three new teams' cut-price Cosworth engines - essentially at 2006-specification - should be allowed to run a higher rev limit.

"The basis of the engine is four years old," Mosley insisted on Wednesday to Auto Motor und Sport, "and the (fuel) consumption is clearly higher than the others.  That means a clear (fuel) weight disadvantage."
