Schu gave millions to Clinton foundation PDF Print E-mail
Dec. (GMM)  Michael Schumacher has emerged high on a list of donors to the humanitarian foundation run by former American president Bill Clinton.

Clinton made the list public this week to avoid any suggestion of conflict of interest as his wife Hillary prepares to become secretary of state in the new Barack Obama administration.

It was revealed that the retired Schumacher, F1's most successful driver in history, gave between $5 and $10 million to the William J. Clinton Foundation, whose stated aim is to "strengthen the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence".

Some of the projects funded by the foundation include initiatives to tackle AIDS and climate change.

With Schumacher in the $5-10m donors category is the government of Norway.
